nemil

nemil shah (m, 23) is a mumbai based artist who mostly works in the realms of films and video installations. his debut short film named dal bhat won various accolades including the national film award for best short fiction film and was also an official entry to the oscars. in the amazon rainforst of peru in, he created an video- odour installation- "9-3", which opened along with the works of apichatpong weerasethakul and others in Yogyakarta. he is currently shooting his next short film in thailand.  his future projects includes his first feature film- "7-7", which is based in india and ghana. it has recently received the "asian cinema fund" for script development.  he likes to explore the basic necessities of life and hopes to find the ecstatic truth in the simple things by making films.
